NERVIANO
The monastery is a convent of the Olivetani Nerviano.
The Abbey, now owned by the city, set around the cloister and monastic buildings in addition also has a converted church, which left only the brick facade, rose window in a brick walled hours. The cloister is the best preserved part of the monastery.
The importance of the abbey of Nerviano is linked to a famous Burgundian blade, now kept at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, depicting the Assumption of the Virgin with Saints Ambrose, Augustine, Gervasio and Protasio and the Coronation of the Virgin , subjects particularly dear to the devotion Olivetan. The painting is dated 1522, and is the last work of the painter.
